Re: WOW....... That was tough!!!

Yay - well done. It is annoying when the GPS doesn't work, it's quite good around here but I am starting to know where all the black spots are :)

Re: Making a running playlist!

I actually find things with a slower beat work for me as I'm a really slow runner (getting faster) and as a music teacher I tend to match the beat quite accurately and if I put on something too upbeat my pacing goes to pot. Oddly I find Rachmaninov and Chopin work well for me but I'm just weird :)

Re: WOW....... That was tough!!!

I use RunKeeper which is great it gives a speed graph and does a calorie count too.

My run this morn was rubbish I couldn't keep going w9r2 but the RunKeeper sent me a fastest speed record email when I'd finished which was why I struggled. :)

Re: WOW....... That was tough!!!

Well done both of you it's so great to read the struggle paying off.

Are you running a distance speed app alongside the get running one - I can heartily recommend it, whenever I've had a rubbish run there has always been a speed or distance positive to counteract it.

Re: Stuck!!

Yep it took me a while to get through week 5. One thing that did help - mine is less of a jog more of a slow lollop. Which then gets gradually faster as I repeat the runs.

Keep at it good luck c

Re: W2R1 fail!

Oh no - Not completing a run is horrid - it's so emotional following this programme. I'm on week 8 now just about to embark on week 9 and I do think the most important thing I've learnt is that even a bad run adds to your over all fitness. So when it feels better you'll get going again and week 2 wi...
