Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

ROFMAO!!! I know *just* what you mean! Tobi was trying to hump a bouvier no less (about four times his size) two runs ago. It's so embarrassing haha It's the season for their hormones to go wild, I suppose, but it's terribly annoying if it's stopping you from running. I do kind of think that Tobi ge...

Re: Life Habits: What helps or hinders your running?

This is interesting to read and to think about! What hinders: My mindset: - I'm not fit enough to run. - I look like a fool running so slowly and walking in my running gear - I have better things to do etc etc etc I just tell myself to shut up. i' getting fitter with every workout. This was hard to ...

Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

Hi Reelon, congratulations on finishing week 2! How are you doing in week 3? It's a great motivator to run with a dog, right? I love it when mine looks behind him as if to say: come on, we can do this! Hi Dawn, mine walks/runs on a leash in the city, but off it in the woods (which we both love the m...

Re: obese runners

I'm not morbidly obese, but more sort of normal to nomally obese...well let's say I'm not stick thin! LOL So I probably look a bit odd in running gear, but you know what...I'm getting physically stronger and that's what this is about! And I don't know how the wheather is where you live, but it is so...

Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

I took Tobi at 5:20 this morning! He was such a brave doggie and ran along with me. Every time we passed the entrance to my appartment block he did attempt to run back indoors, but he was easily persuaded to keep running. I'm proud of him! :D Are you guys running with your dog on a leash, or are the...

Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

I chickened out from running at 5am myself  Not because I was too sleepy, but because it's still dark and I decided it just isn't a safe idea for a woman to go run in the dark by herself. (Even if she's with a small & friendly looking dog LOL) I was actually about to give up altogether but...

Re: Always doubtful about moving on!!!

I'm only guessing about this one, but maybe it has to do with endorphine? Apparently that's what your body makes to keep you happy and running if you need it. During the first few runs your body probably tries to disuade you from running, then it figures out you are serious about it and that you pla...

Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

We're in the Netherlands! Tobi is keeping up really well. He's much faster than I am :D I'm just not sure whether he will have the endurance for a very long time though. But I suppose we are training for it together, so he may build up endurance together with me :D Tomorrow I'm planning on running d...

Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

I run with my dachshund! He loves it. He's the reason I started running at all. He was so happy every time I started running a little bit during his walks, that I started running with him for a bit longer every time and then putting my sports shoes on in the weekends to run for even longer bouts wit...
