Re: Week 3 easy but week 4 killing me.

I am just a couple of days behind you so I am looking forward to looking at your updates. I just completed week 4 day 1 and I ensured I was going at a moderate, slower jog - just so I made sure I completed the session..I will work on my speed as I get used to the time. http://ausgirlscouchto5ks.blog...

Re: Day 1

I don't run on a treadmill, I run out and about, so I think it is great you kept a good pace up on your first run! I probably went very slow by the last one! Keep it up!

Re: I am ashamed of myself!

Oh my goodness, you are up to running 25 minutes! I am bragging to everyone I can run 3 minutes! WOW! Hello! Not long ago you were running nothing, so I think it is amazing you are up to here. You may have had an off day, your body is tired, etc. Choose a day to run when you have no other distractio...

Hi!

I am 26 and from the coast of Australia.

I have documented each run on my blog to keep myself on track and hopefully help others. It tells you all about me :)

Re: Finished week 2, shins aching!

You also need to consider running on grass. Roads and pathways are high impact on our body. Running on grass will make a world of difference. Bit more of a work out too as you are not 'bouncing' off the ground. I suffered shin pains as well and this has helped me. http://ausgirlscouchto5ks.blogspot....

Re: Week 1 day 1...couldn't finish

Week one is a killer! Your body is in shock from not doing anything. It is amazing how much easier it gets. You body quickly adapts. This is coming from someone who had not properly exercised in years. Ensure you stretch before and after. Don't go fast. Instead of giving up on the runs, just go at a...

Re: Week 1 Run 1 = sore legs

Oooo yes! Your body is in a bit of shock with the exercise and you are using muscles you didn't use before! You must must must spend time stretching. My groin is my sorest area after a run. It means I have to spend a little more time and stretch this area a couple of times in a day. Have a look at m...

Blogs 2011/2012

Hi other Cto5kers! I have been writing a blog to record and share my experience of the program. I am in Week 3 and now getting into the big boys league (hehe!) and I would like to know of any other *recent* blogs I can read as I am on my journey. My blog address is: http://ausgirlscouchto5ks.blogspo...
