Re: Week 1 day 1...couldn't finish
Setback...was at the emergency room last night until 4 am. Looks like I have a kidney stone. Until I pass this thing I won't be running.

Re: Week 1 day 1...couldn't finish
Because I missed my Monday run due to a stomach bug, my runs were off by a day, which put me running week 6 run 3 tomorrow. But because I don't want to get up early on a Saturday I went ahead and ran it this morning. Running back-to-back runs without a days rest was a little tougher than I thought b...

Re: First Run
Thanks. After I'm done with the program I'm going to start adding 5 minutes a week to my runs until I get to an hour a run three times a week. Then it'll be time to work on speed. I have a feeling by the end of the year, barring any injuries, I should be at my weight goal.

Re: Week 1 day 1...couldn't finish
Thanks. It's a weird feeling running and not having to catch my breath or have my legs hurt. I ran week 6 run 2 today and after the second ten minutes I almost didn't want to stop. Nothing left now but long runs so the training wheels are off.

I hope so. Reading other people's success stories has helped me greatly. Happy to return the favor.LordOberon wrote:Well done, Todd!

Re: First Run
I'm thinking of adding walking during my off days myself. I started out about 70 pounds (or about 5 stone) overweight. Since starting the program I've dropped 10 pounds and have around 60 pounds to go. I think adding walking may help me lose a little more weight.

Re: Week 1 day 1...couldn't finish
I'm into week 6 and not struggling with runs any more. I'm pretty sure I could run 30+ minutes now. Breathing is good and my legs don't hurt any longer.

Re: Week 5 Run 3 20 mins YES! You can do it.
Just did my 20 minute run! Not going to lie it was tough near the end. It was extremely humid this morning and I was drenched when done.I even had to do the last couple of minutes running uphill. If I can do it anybody can.
