Week 3, Run 1 finished

Having never run before, the step-up to 3 minutes from 1 +1/2 seemed a lot more than I thought it would, though I pushed on and finished without having to stop. Anyone else near my progress? And if so, how did you find it? Also, the 2nd run of this week is gonna have to be somewhere different. Going...

Week 2 over :)

I just finished running week two last night, it went quite well and I enjoyed it ( I saw a badger and a fox on the run), although I did get a stitch during a few of the walking segments, i think this was because I tried to run faster.

Overall, I feel happy with it :)

Re: Week 1, Day 2 done.

I just ran Week 2 day 2 today, and it's really going well :) the pain in my legs ceased before sunday's run (day three) of week one, and i'm getting into the swing of it. Running outside is a challenging thing, more so than a treadmill for me, but I'm getting used to it and happy to say that now I a...

Week 1 Complete!

Finished week one just now, and it went really well :) I came back to uni today (Sheffield), and it's hilly-er here than it is back home, so I thought it'd be much more of a struggle, but actually, I nailed it :) I think I managed to pace myself better, and also, as it was evening, I was better fuel...

Re: Hello - My First Day

It's good to read about other people starting out. I'm trying to lose weight, because although I lost a lot a couple of years back it's crept up, and I want to be able to run. You made me chuckle about scurvy and walking into the door, I hope you get these problems sorted :P I'm just looking forward...

Week 1, Day 2 done.

I've started using this app this week, and it seems quite good. I've noticed how different running in real life is to running on a treadmill, for me at least. I had started a while back a similar scheme from the Men's Health website, where the first week was the same, and on a treadmill it was not d...
