Re: On Week 2 - Legs sore!! Trainers to blame?

That could always be an option. It never hurts to go the running store, if there is one nearby, and ask some questions. :)

Re: On Week 2 - Legs sore!! Trainers to blame?

You probably don't want to hear this since you just bought new shoes. But, i will tell you anyway. :) Just because you have new trainers it doesn't mean they are the right trainers for your feet. For example, I have flat feet so I need a running shoe that supports the pronation in my foot. I can run...

Re: Week 9 Run 1 DONE! Little happy happy dance

I thought the exact same thing in week 3. Honestly, it feels AMAZING!!!!! I have been slowly doing the week 7 through 9 runs. While I wasn't following the exact program during those weeks I was doing some sort of walking/running pattern. Mainly because it had been so hot and I was only running in th...

Re: Wk8 r1 done

I just saw this! I'm sorry, I am awful running buddy! Good for you on keeping at it and pushing through. Only by pushing through when we think we can't do we improve! Did you purposely untie your shorts just so you could stop to tie them? ;) Clever trick!!!!!! Don't worry about your distance, just k...

Re: Some questions (currently on week 4)

I think it is ok to repeat just run in a week, as I have done it in the later weeks and then moved on. The jump to 20 minutes really isn't that bad. It is more of a mental thing then a physical thing. In the earlier weeks things were tough but not impossible, so as long as I could complete a run wit...

Week 9 Run 1 DONE! Little happy happy dance

Wow, two first for me today. The first being I ran for 30 minutes AND I did it at 6:00 a.m. I ran for a continuous 30 minutes and I covered 2.10 miles with the run. Its a bummer I am not close to the 3 mile mark but who cares I ran for 30 minutes. And, it was the first time I have run at 6:00 a.m. a...

Re: W1R2 - SHINS!!

I highly recommend getting fit for new running shoes. Go to a running store. I used to suffer from shin pain and had no idea that there shoes that could actually help me, I have flat feet and once I got the right shoes for my feet, no more shin pain. Also, shoes can only go for so many miles before ...

On to week 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I completed Week 8 Run 3 and it was my best run yet. I was able to run outside do to us finally having some cooler weather. I was excited that I ran exactly 2 miles in 28 minutes, in the drizzle and in some crazy wind with a few hills being involved. I have noticed my best runs come with cooler weat...

W8 R2 Complete - What happened to my buddies?

Hi All, I did my run 2 of week 8 yesterday, and I managed it on the treadmill! If you have read my previous post you know that I have come to despise the treadmill!!!!! I got home from work and was excited that we had got a quick thunderstorm and I thought it was done so I was excited to take my run...
