All done , after 9 weeks I've finally got there . When I think back to week 1 where I was all over the place with my breathing and aching like mad , then week 3 where I had real problems with my knees and had to take a week off but since then it's been plain sailing until the end . Stitch is caused by your diaphragm going into spasm , I usually get this if I've eaten to much to soon before a run it's best to leave food at least 1 -2 hours before your run , also can be caused by irratic breathing if your going to fast for your body or talking during a run , it's very important ...

Run 2 completed , took it nice and steady today just totally enjoyed the run , only 4 more runs until I've completed the programme , legs felt really strong today so much so I'd begun to wish I'd pushed harder when the 28mins was up and yet I still did just over 3 miles so it's really coming togethe...

Well done Dunna we are both doing brill as you said just to run for 28mins is tough in itself , I wouldn't worry about the distance your covering your certainly not that far away , I'm also entering a 5k but in December all being well , keep up the good work we've both come along way since week 1 , ...

Week 7 now completed with no real problem , I did run 2 at the gym on Monday and run 3 I did today as normal outdoors , both workouts went really well , I'm got an improvement in distance each day and ended week 7's 25min runs just short of the 5k . Hi Jess , I to suffered with my knees around same stage as you , Ive now just completed week 7 run 1 with no problem . I battled through the pain until end of week 3 using ice packs after each run on my knees when I could take no more pain so I took a week off the programme and just used my exercise...
