Good for you doing it again. I had to stop for 3 months in the summer due to back pain but started again in November. It was quite tough at first but quickly got a lot easier! Let us know how you get on

Re: Never run before
Wiganjon, thanks :-) yes, only running, although i did my back in for a few months in the summer and think I should do yoga or pilates or something to strengthen my core. Its supposed to help with the running too but I will get round to signing up for a class eventually. Shuffler. Keep it going! My ...

Re: Just finished W4!
How lovely! I think Dolphins would keep me occupied on my runs too. Sadly we don't get too many of those in the Thames!

Re: Never run before
I'm 43 and did weigh 14 stone before I started  . Now into the 11 stones :D It's surprising at first how hard it is to run for a minute, but before long you won't recognise yourself. You will actually want to go out and run, your lungs will get better and your legs will get fitter. It's great ...

Re: Breathing while running. I hear you have to do it
Absolutely! My breathing was all over the place when I started out. Sometimes I had to take in a really deep breath half way through a run, sometimes I had to slow right down to stop myself wheezing loud enough to scare the birds from the trees! Eventually, once you are in a rhythm and have found yo...

Re: What are your running habits?
I prefer the mornings too. Or some time around lunchtime if work allows. I work for myself from home so can usually sort it out although these weeks up to christmas are a bit busy :-) I always run outside. I live 5 minutes walk from the river Thames and have a lovely long tow path to run along. Now ...

Re: side stitches, help!
I would say don't talk while running because it messes up your breathing. I always do my runs one way then quick march walk back home for the extra calorie burn. Sometimes I throw in a little jog on the way back too and that always gives me a stitch. My hubby says its because of the spits and spurts...

Re: Something To Share!!
Hi Jimmy thats very inspiring! Well done to you. You must be well chuffed. I too have lost weight with this app - 2 stone so far with another to go and I also did my back in which laid me out for 3-4months so have started again and just finished week 5 this morning! Its such a great feeling isn't it...

Re: My Running Blog
Hi Beckly Well done for starting the programme :D . I was 3 stone overweight when I started back in April and very unfit. I didn't concern my self at all with the time/distance correlation because I just wanted to be able to finish without dying of a heart attack/lung collapse/legs falling off, you ...
