Re: Week 1 run 1 !!!!!!

Those of us a few weeks into the programme witter on about how many minutes, how difficult etc but thinking back the hardest run for me to get out and do, and therefore show some commitment, was W1R1, so very very well done. Good luck.

Good run Sue, looking at around 35 minutes for the 5K and I saw your forecast condition on facebook for Saturday - perfect for you. I'm aiming to get back in the saddle on Saturday (home location) or Sunday (weekday work location) and just hope my knee holds out, if not it's straight off to my docto...

Re: Behind my week 8 buddies.... STILL on week 7!

We're all still here. Don't get too downcast - Simon and I will probably be joining in the new timeline. I am unlikely to run W8R1 until Sunday at the earliest. Good news about your new job - I hope it goes well for you.

Linda - well done on W8R1. And Simon - if you're on penecilin take it easy and get well.

I'm taking a view again tomorrow as to whether it's too early to get going on W8.

Re: Week 8 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

Simon. That is a real pain in the proverbial. You've been suffering for a while now and tonsilitis is a bad outcome but explains why it has lasted for so long. Stick with us though - you're part of our running group. (And the only bloke and brit). For our American ladies - I saw my daughter off from...

Yes, the other one has been the bad one - I guess I've been favouring the "good" side. As soon as I can I'll be back out and my reduce intervals if possible.

How has everyone's weekend been?

Re: Week 8 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

Walked the dog this morning and the knee was painful - tried a few running steps and doing W8R1 today is not an option. I hope to get back to it tomorrow or Tuesday. Looks like graduating on my birthday is not going to be a reality. Bummer.

Re: Week 8 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

I'm due to start tomorrow but I'm going to take a view on it in the afternoon as I think my left knee is damaged - walking is painful and I dread to think what the stress of running would do to it. I'm a bit miffed by it frankly.

Re: Week 7 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

There are a few apps for running outside. Personally I use MotionX GPS http://news.motionx.com/category/motionx-gps/ and costs a mere $0.99 for you American types. I find it very good and you can save all your runs - I'm a geeky sort of bloke and have produced a spreadsheet to monitor my progress (o...
