Re: Missed runs due to vacation!

I once missed two runs due to it being way too hot, I ended up just restarting the whole week the next week so I could keep my runs on the same schedule.

Keep up the hard work!

No there isnt a 10k app made by the same developers, it would be nice if they made one though!

The graduate forum is so boring!

It's like a ghost town over there! Keep up the good work everyone. I'm lonely in the graduate forum and need some more buddies!

On a side note, I've started the bridge to 10k app. I've signed up for a charity 10k in about 2.5 months so I should have plenty of time to train.

Re: First 5k finished

Great job! I'm on the search for a good 10k app, I liked the encouragement with get running that I can't find in other apps.

Best 10k app

Finished the get running program and looking forward to the next adventure. I'd like to start working towards a 10k. Any advice on a good app? What I really liked about get running was the encouragemet (if you're having a hard time slow your pace, you've been running for 5 minutes keep going for 5 m...

First 5k finished

So some may recall My first 5k was an obstacle course on a mountain www.toughmountain.com It took me an hour and twenty minutes, but I finished it. It was more climbing than running, so I decided to do a true road 5k the next day. I finished in 33'10 which isn't that bad. My pace has slowly been imp...

Re: Week 6 run 3 - 25min - failed

I found weeks 6 and 7 to be the toughest mentally. Physically I felt the earlier weeks were the hardest because I just wasn't use to running, but when I got to week 7 I just felt blah. I felt like I wasn't making the progress I would like, and was constantly fighting the urge to turn around and go h...

Re: I think I became a runner today!

That's fantastic! I too feel like I have just become a "runner". Technically I'm on week 9 of the program, but in my efforts to prepare for a 5k race/obstacle course I've been pushing myself beyond the program (I started this extra work last week during week 8). Four days ago when I was su...

Re: Signed up for my first race

That sounds like a very fun race too! Im going to have to keep my out for other runs like these that are fun and break up the monotony of running. I seem to be enjoying running (as much as one can really enjoy it), but I love turning it into a game or something fun. I just got an email from the chal...

Re: Some questions (currently on week 4)

I repeated a week because I ran one of the runs then I wasn't feeling good of a couple says so I missed two runs. It was easier for me to just repeat that one run (even though I had successfully completed it) because it kept me on the running schedule I liked. Id say only repeat runs if you couldn't...
