Re: Week 6 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

Well done Linda. We don't have possums this side of the pond but if we did I'm sure I would have warily skirted around it too. Get well soon Simon - we'll be here waiting for you. Hope you have a nice weekend and are feeling better after it. My next run is on Sunday - and this is the Queen's Diamond...

Re: Does anyone not manage?

"for some bizarre reason find myself looking forward to it"

Natty - when I read this a big genuine and entirely unexpected smile split my face for two reasons: firstly I think we've all had this experience, and secondly you're now officially hooked! Welcome to the madness :D

Re: Week 6 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

Us snails are runners too Laura - the nice lady on my iPhone told me so a week ago! I think you might be surprised at W6R3 as the problem seemed to exist mainly in my head before I ran it, and with pace moderating (and may I suggest somewhat fewer Colorado hills) you may be pleasantly surprised. I k...

Re: Week 6 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

Post run report Well that is W6 done and dusted. I learnt my lesson on speed: that can come later. I slowed down by about 1 KPH and that was almost a pleasant experience. Not going to get me an impressive 5 Km time but I'll worry about that at the end. As a result I don't think the rest of the prog...

Re: Week 4 run 1

I concur with all that Laura said. And don't feel like a failure - four weeks ago you could not do what you can do now so actually you are succeeding. Stick with it, believe you can get there and trust the programme.

Thanks Simon - you nearly made me laugh out loud in my office (when I should be working) at the thought of your earbuds whacking you in the face - I had a similar incident and looked like a low budget slapstick act and I'm very glad to know it isn't just me! It is a bugger when you get the pace wron...

Re: W6 R1 Complete - Could I actually be enjoying this?

Laura: in your first post you said you were "feeling the potential". I think you have captured the essence of the strength of this programme. Thank you for that.

Re: Does anyone not manage?

Some of the stories of people who have done it could it reduce you to tears, and I'm not much given to that sort of thing. Some of them make me feel very humble. Also cast your eyes over the NHS website "forums" for more inspiration.

I think you have to come online and accept it. A bit steam driven but there you are!
