Re: My first day, feel great, question on taking day off

Hiya, Well done getting started, and I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it! It's good to have a day off between workouts, but if that just doesn't fit in to your schedule, then don't worry about it too much – just go easy on yourself and if you are getting too sore on the second day, then re-asses. B...

Re: Do runs get easier??

Hi Paul, If you need to, you can always repeat a run a few more times until you're really happy and comfortable with it. I encourage you to personalise the program like this. I certainly had to repeat a couple of weeks when I did it! If you want to run week 4 when Get Running has moved you on to wee...

Re: Running after midfoot fusion surgery

Hi Drlnyork, Did you start up? Sounds like it would be great to talk to your doctor about this. They can probably give you good advice on whether it's a good plan, or if you should wait. They can probably also advise you on precautions you can take, and warning signs of a problem that you can look o...

Re: can you change the days?

So did you do the fourth run without the app then? I tried to do a fourth run but the app jumped to week two and I want to keep the weeks as they are - anyway around this? Hi Jacster, If you would like to re-run week 1, here's what to do (the same process can be used to jump forwards or backwards t...

Re: What should we do next?!

Thanks. It's good to hear that neither of you are particularly interested in the GPS, but it is the personal features of Get Running that you like. I was talking to Matt about it last week, and he got me thinking the same way. I'm sorry about the continued lack of progress on a 10K and further App, ...

Re: Running Pace & Distance

If you don't have GPS a great tool to work out your distance is GMap Pedometer. It's a nice to know, but don't sweat it – do the time, then focus on the distance.

Re: Jan 1 / Week 1 / Run 1

Hi Rob! Good stuff starting :-) If you're aching, do some more stretches now. In fact, stretch a bit any time you've got a moment – it all helps. If you can, get someone to give your legs a bit of a massage, this will help even more. And if no one is about, then you can actually massage your legs yo...

Re: Week 9 injury - knee fail.

Hi Teddy, First up, I wouldn't use pain killers! If you've got pain, it's a good indication something is wrong that needs adjusting. Can you try reducing your pace? I'd say it's better to do the run gently then build your knees up slowly, than to hurt them and be unable to run at all for a while, or...
