Re: Running and slimming world :-(

Dont be disheartened - I've been doing my fitness pal along with this app and ive only lost a few pounds but I think I'm toning up - that is there's less wobbling when I'm jogging and someone said to me that I'd lost weight even tho the scales doesn't show it - don't forget too that muscle is heavie...

Wk 3 run 1 done

Well pleased with myself - was very nervous of jogging for 3 mins but it was surprisingly ok - first min flew last min dragged and if course the 3 min walk was over in no time!! It's great to think there's only 4 runs it makes it much easier to convince yourself that it can be done

Week 2 done & still alive

Very proud of myself for completing week 2 - think I'm beginning to get into a rhythm - Zola budd needn't worry just yet though - bit scared of doing wk 3 - seems a big jump from 1 1/2 mins to 3 but I wont know until I try - wish me luck

Re: I'm so scared! 1st timer!

Go for it you can do it - I used to be fit in my early twenties but even then I hated running - now weighing 205lbs at 5'3" and late 30's you can imagine how unsuited I feel to running - but I've just done wk 2 run 1 and it was a little harder than wk 1 but I still did it and even got into an o...

Re: New

Try not to think about the runs at the end of the programme because you'll scare yourself thinking if I'm gasping for breath after 1 minute how can I possibly rum 20 or 30 - that's the beauty of this app - take it run by run and you'll be amazed how you progress without realizing it - well done on m...

Re: I'm slow - but pleased as punch!

Congratulations that's seriously impressive especially when you're running "in the wild" - different ball game altogether from my nice even surfaced treadmill - someday when I wobble less and dont go bright red I'll venture out

Re: Transition from Week 1 to Week 2

I felt the same about running for the 90 seconds but then focused on the fact that I only had to do 6 runs instead of 8 and I felt better about it - the first run of wk 2 is the hardest especially if you're running the same route and passing the marker where you'd normally finish and still have 30 s...

Re: 1 down - how many to go?

Just finished week 1 and very pleased with myself - the first minute of the first run I'm like a creaky old machine but I know now that I'll loosen up after the first minute - I can even sing along to the iPod during the last run even if it's a bit huffy puffy - the last time I tried I could barely ...

Re: Its HOT out there!

Try running in Ireland where you go from heat exhaustion to hypothermia all in the one run!! Don't envy you running in that heat i dont think I could exist let alone run
