Re: humbled!

Your post really motivated me, so I made sure to get off from work in time and went to a park close by. Guess what, I survived the 28 minutes, too! Thanks for your post, it really helped me :) I ran 3.9km in 28 min, so I am very very far away from the 5k in 30 min.. But who cares, really looking for...

Re: humbled!

yeeeeeeeeeeeey! Well done! Great to hear! I haven't done any running yet this week! Shame on me! I did so well keeping to the 3 runs a week for the last 8 weeks... I have a tiny excuse, though. I am in the USA this week for work and by the time I got to the hotel, it was already dark outside. Don't ...

Re: humbled!

not sure what it is with week 7, but I am struggling a lot, too :(
Run 3 was a disaster, I stopped around 20 minutes because I simply couldn't run anymore. So disappointed..

Well, we only have 2 more weeks to go! New week, new chances, I'd say ;)
Let's go for it! We're almost there!

Re: humbled!

not sure where I found the energy and motivation from, but I did manage to get out and nail the run again! I must say, week 7 is pretty heavy somehow. Wonder how 28 and 30 minutes will feel like. My pace is just so slow, it's very frustrating. Would love to be able to run 5k in 30 minutes, but I am ...

Re: humbled!

Hope your son is doing well and didn't get sick! Can image that it's difficult to not hop off the treadmill immediately when you hear some crying! I should do run 2 of w7 today, but not sure yet if I can/should. Had fencing training again last night and I think I tore a muscle... also, I can feel th...

Re: GPS

I am also using RunKeeper. I turned off all the voices in the background of the app, though, as somehow the music I put on (and very much need to keep on running!) stopped completely every time the voice on RunKeeper was saying something (so basically every 5 minutes). I have not experienced Claire ...

Re: humbled!

Week 7 run 1. 25 minutes again... was difficult! Especially the first 10-15 minutes. I didn't think that I could do it until then end, my legs felt heavy and I struggled a lot. After 15 minutes somehow the 'end was in sight' and I found some additional energy and pulled through till the end. Was a t...

Re: humbled!

Ah, an obstacle course does not make it easier indeed! Good luck with the next try, just take your time and do what feels right, I'd say! My knees are still slightly swollen.. they don't hurt though, so I guess it's time for another 25 minute run tomorrow  it's good to know that the next 3 ru...

Re: humbled!

Wohooooo, I just ran my first 25 minutes non-stop! It was hot and halfway through the run a clown suddenly chased me  (there was some kind of festival going on for children) - so I did a little sprint to get the clown to run harder and to make the kids laugh. After that, I managed to get my bre...
