Re: SHIN SPLINTS Week 2-PLEASE HELP

I had shin, calf, and side lower leg pain for 3 weeks while running. Also, I was extremely red and itchy on my upper half of my body only while running. My abdomen itched horribly during my runs. I was that out of shape! The leg pain and itchiness went away the fitter I got. I did stretch after runs...

Pushingit,

I'm doing the same thing! So glad to hear someone else is because I was like you out of breath after only a minute. I am now extending my runs because I feel like I can and it feels great!

Re: What do you do on your days off?

Ian, It makes perfect sense and I thank everyone for their input. I've been doing weights a few days a week. It's nothing crazy and I enjoy it. I think it helps with endurance or it could be all in my head. Running no longer is dreadful and I can see myself doing this for the long haul. Thank you ev...

Re: Still,,,,attached to couch,,, Need Encourage

You can do this! The first few weeks are the hardest but this program does work. The hardest part is starting. The first weeks my body and my lungs were not liking it and I wasn't sure if I could even do this. But I did and here I am seven weeks later running 25 minutes and feeling exhilarated after...

What do you do on your days off?

Hello! I'm currently on Week 7 Run 3 and I am wondering what everyone is doing for exercise on their days off from running. I've not been doing anything and I'm wondering if I should be.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Newish Starter Legs Sore

My calves were tight and my feet hurt for the first 2 weeks or more. After new shoes and getting used to running, I felt better. My calves still burn a bit during the warmup for my 25 minute run and after they are tight. This is normal for me because I wasn't exercising at all before so of course my...
