Re: Gutted!

Just completed w5r2 tonight and felt awful during and after. Couldn't get myself going or motivated for the run so just jogged which seems to be the norm of late. I've got my first 25 min non stop on Thurs and i'm not looking forward to it at all but will give it my best shot.

Gutted!

I can't tell you how gutted I am, I've just got back from my doctors and I'm out of running for 2 weeks. I'm suffering from a tear in the lower calf muscle of my right leg and seems I've had it for at least 10 days, this has been aggravated by me forcing my runs. It seems as though the last few runs...

Re: New Start New Runner

Due to being a big bloke I decided to have my gait analysed, I didn't fancy doing my runs in normal fashion trainers. I found out I over pronate and this would have caused no end of problems when wearing normal shoes. I now run in a lovely pair of New Balance support shoes! :)

YEEEEEES I DID IT! Its 0715 and I'm standing outside my house sweat dripping off my body having just done week 5 run 3. I ran for 20 mins without stopping and that feels soooo good. I can anything now! :D

Re: New Start New Runner

Today I completed run 2 of week 5 and found the 2 runs really enjoyable but my calves where really sore again. Now I've got the 'dreaded' 20 min run on Thursday and I'm determined to do it first time, then it will be 3 days rest sitting by a lake hoping to catch some big fish and to give my legs som...
