W2R1 success

I had a really good run today. By that I mean I feel really good now 7 hours later. One thing I noticed, it is nice to start the runs slow and if things are going well you can pick up the pace on the last interval. It feels good to have some energy in reserve toward the end of the run and instead of...

Re: Running Location

I live in Florida too and quit almost every summer. ;) Location used to be a big problem for me, I lived in a tight apartment complex in a dense suburban environment. And getting to a nice place to run sometimes meant dealing with rush hour gridlock! I just want to walk out the door and run! I wasn'...

Re: Get Running + RunKeeper = Awesome! (and some advice)

Re: Get Running + RunKeeper = Awesome! (and some advice)

Hi Timl2k10, I've taken your advice and downloaded the run keeper app (I'm yet to use it) but it looks quite advanced as I'm only just about to start W4. Can you give me a few tips on the best way to use it (ie, the audio cues, play lists, runkeeper live, etc). Thanks and kind Rgds. I just turn off...

Re: W3R1

I've been out of breath... You are running too fast, mum! I know it might be awkward in a gym, but try singing the lyrics to the song your listening to, or carrying on a little conversation with someone next to you. It should be doable without gasping for breath. I highly recommend slowing it down ...

Get Running + RunKeeper = Awesome! (and some advice)

I have had Get Running for a long time, I don't remember how things went the first time around, but I know that the whole multi-tasking thing wasn't quite ready for prime-time, also I didn't know of RunKeeper. I'm only on W1R2, but wow, the feedback I get from my run from RunKeeper is a huge motivat...

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Great stuff with loosing the pounds, Tim! I notice from Twitter you're planning to cut another 30! Do you find that getting less calories is draining the energy that you need to get out and run, or do other exercise? Very good question. I find my energy levels to be up despite my calorie reduction....

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Just started week 4. Put myself on a restricted calorie diet and have lost 15 pounds since I started the program! The running is very important, can't let my body cannibalize my muscles! Cannibalize the fat!
