Re: What do you do on your days off?

I haven't been doing anything in my days off. I thought I'd try to get a bit further on the runs before I go all out. I also feel like I need the rest and I worry if I go too far too soon I'll run out of energy. I'll see how I feel on week 5! :-)

Week 2 Run 1 done!

Just finished week 2's first run! It was a lot easier than I expected. I ran through the sprinklers a few times in preparation for fall or poor weather runs!

Re: Complete beginner!! Needing some reassurance!!

I hope you are still running! I am also a complete beginner and have just completed week 1 today. I don't look ahead to see what is coming up. I think that's completely overwhelming, do I just put in my headphones and do what she tells me to do. I'm excited to begin week 2 day after tomorrow!

Run 3 down! I'm a little confused!

I'm thrilled to have finished w1R3! Between this a some Sensa sprinkling, I've lost 6 pounds-amazing! My confusion is this, the lady speaking tells me to run every other day but the timeline tells me I should have a 2 day break between runs. What do you do?

Re: Unfit and 50

Hello, I turn 50 (gag) this fall and I've just begun. My good cholesterol is low and my bad cholesterol is borderline. I could stand to lose 15 pounds or so. I started this because I've always wanted to be a runner but never took the time out to do it. So here I am. It is very encouraging to hear ev...

Second run down

Just finished W1R2, it was a hot day here in idaho, but I kept going. I keep looking ahead to my final weeks, sometime late July, hoping I can finish, hoping I'll be in better shape, and hoping to lose a few pounds. I struggle sticking to things so my first 3 weeks will be a challenge.

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Hello, I'm Sheri from Idaho, USA. I have tried running for years and have never reached the status of "runner". I will be hitting a milestone age this year and I'm determined, in my mind at least, to finish this. I am on W1r2, so very early on. I run around my rural neighborhood and the sm...
