Re: Any other newby's out there?!

W7R2 completed. Ran as soon as i got home, we have a wicked storm heading our way and wanted to beat the thunderstorms. Warm and humid now, to change to freezing by the weekend. I am hoping that at some point running becomes something enjoyable. Are yall enjoying yourselves? Is this just a mental hu...

Re: Any other newby's out there?!

W7R1 done. My pace slowed a bit? Didnt make it as far, but made it without stopping and thats what i'm focusing on. Trying to adjust my foot strike to midfoot rather than heel and my breathing to belly breathing. Kaybee, you are doing really well...increasing your pace, that's fantastic. Do you enjo...

Re: Any other newby's out there?!

W6R2 in the books. I'm not gonna lie, this was the worst for me yet. Why? The thought of Friday's run is scary. :o

Not alot of action on this thread. I hope I'm not the last 'man' standing. :|

Re: Any other newby's out there?!

KB, you can look up songs that you already have down loaded, online. I just searched the by title and then 'beats per minute'. I started with a song that seemed to fit my pace well and then used it as my guide. For example, the song 'beat it' by John Mayer ( not the Michael Jackson version) is ~150 ...

Re: Week Five question

W5r3done. I found a trick that worked for me. I downloaded music that matched my running pace and made sure i had brisk music for my warm up, then 20 minutes of quicker music (im slow so i used about 150 beats per minute) then 5minutes of fun music, but slower paced, for the cool down. I also shorte...

Re: Any other newby's out there?!

I did it! W5R3! I did something that really helped me. I downloaded music that matched my pace, something brisk but not too fast for the warm up and then something quicker for the 20 minutes of running (about 150 beats per minute, is the perfect pace for me) then something slower but fun for the coo...

Re: Week Five question

Just finished w5r2 and I had to check the app to make sure I hadn't chosen the wrong week. I am scared to death about r3 this week. Please post how you did.
