Re: First run
Well done Wardy on run 1 , as for your ankles this could be just down to not running in a long time and will get better as you get used to running again but I would guess you prob need to invest in some decent trainers and good cushioned running socks you'll be amazed at the difference they make , C...

Re: First run
Welcome Wardy to the world of get running , firstly when you do go for your 1 st run just take your time and enjoy the run , you'll feel great at the end of it , also remember your doing this for you so don't worry what anybody else thinks , we've all probably had the same thoughts as your having no...

Re: Week 6

Week 6
Just got in from my stretches after run 1 of week 6 , tried to increase my pace a bit today and all seemed to go well , covered just under the 5k distance inc walks (3.04 miles ) , so considering 16 mins of the 34mins today was walking I am well chuffed , really got the hand of my breathing techniqu...

Re: I can call myself a runner - claire says so !!!!!
Thanks Dunna , it was a great feeling yes but like I said the run for me went really quickly I just concentrated on finishing the run am sure you will do it , in my run I broke it into 4 stages I did stage one over 2 mins this was at the slowest pace I could do without walking then I went onto doing...

I can call myself a runner - claire says so !!!!!
Done it , week 5 run 3 , ran for 20 mins and must say I can't believe how quick it went , I was really in the zone today , controlling my pace and breathing and before I knew it 20 mins was up Awesome feeling especially as I felt I could have gone quite a bit quicker and I did the run straight after...

Re: Need advice on Week 3
Glad your run went well , you soon see as each run gets longer what the programme is all about , your stamina is being slowly increased each week so although the length of the run seems daunting you'll be surprised how easy each run is as long as u don't go to fast for yourself , I was like u but no...

Week 5 Run 2
Just finished the 2 8min runs glad to say all went well Apart from start of 1st run when I was chased by a dog (playfully I'm pleased to say) but it did halt my run slightly , got hard at the end of 2nd run but that was maybe down to choosing quite a hilly route at the start of the run today , still...
