Hi all.
As my target is to be able to run 5K in 30 mins my thoughts are turning to how to work out a 5K route .
Is there an app or website to help with this? I have a distance tracker on my phone but last time I used it it clocked a mile walk @ 7 miles!!
Cheers , Gareth

Re: What do people use to carry their phones?
On my most recent run I tried having the arm band on the top of my forearm , it worked much better as I could see my phone & the strap wasn't stretched to its maximum!

Re: run 1 week 4 HELP!!!
Just done Week 4 run 1 too, yes its hard. I struggled . I'm 6 foot and 16 stone. But I got through it & with no music too [i forgot my Iphone up date had wiped my music!] Keep trying. it gets easier , you only failed by a small margin, you don't notice how fit you are getting until you notice so...

Re: Just earned my yellow laces!
Just to be clear, i'm NOT selling laces on E-bay!!
Its a motivation though to have them ready to put in
What about RED for 10K , BLUE for Half Marathon & PURPLE for Marathon? Other distances could be slotted in as you wish!

Re: Newish Starter Legs Sore
I'd say yes, push onto week two, I found that I only really got comfy when running 3 minutes or more.
The voice [Claire?] tells you on your longer runs to just slow your pace if you get tired.
Give it a try on week two & see how it goes.

Re: Just earned my yellow laces!
Maybe we can get this into running protocol, if you have yellow laces you can run 5K in 30 mins?
i'm off to buy a load of yellow laces to put on E-bay!
Edit :- Sorry , Well Done !!

Re: What do people use to carry their phones?
You are right , camel backs aren't cheep . We have a very small
Ruck sack that stays away from your body with a spring mesh frame thing just like a camel back. All I need is the bag & tube type camel back.
I tried tucking the phone in the top of my pants once, NOT COMFY LOL!!

Re: What do people use to carry their phones?
I use an arm band, I wasn't sold on it at first but it's not too bad, I just can't see the screen though! The strap is abit short so it's quite tight round my arm just above my elbow. I run my ear phone cable up the sleave of my T shirt to keep it from flapping about. I'd like a longer strap so I ca...

Re: Newish Starter Legs Sore
Another thing I never believed was the 'natural high' thing. But from week 2 I started to feel really good , relaxed, 'loose' in my back & legs, it's hard to explain but you know you feel great!
Just keep at it, you will get to 5K!
