Re: New Start New Runner

Wow!!!! Never ever did I think I would get this far! Today I finished week 4 and that is an achievement in it's self. Something that I've noticed is that although I'm still losing weight it has slowed down, I've only lost 4lbs since I started the programme but I have lost nearly 3 inches on my waist...

Re: Week 5 run 2 and 3

Great stuff and well done. I've got the dreaded week 5 coming up next week and I'm not over confident I'll do well with it.

Big Mistake!

Today i made what was probably a big mistake. Today was my scheduled run 2 on week 3 but it also clashed with my personal trainer session at the gym. I was in two minds as to whether i should put my run off till tomorrow but decided to go for it and do both......oh how wrong could i be!!! At 0900 i ...

Re: Doomed to be fat :(

Littlelegs, firstly well done on starting the programme and secondly well done on making this post about struggling. I too struggled on week 1 but believe me it does get better. I'm now on week 3 having done run 2 today and it was probably the first time I've really enjoyed myself. If you have a loo...

Arnica Cream/Gel/Spray

Just thought i would post this as a new topic, even though i've mentioned it in my 'New Start New Runner' post. I've started suffering from pains in my lower legs during and after my runs. I've had my gait analysed and bought new runners so it could be down to them or simply i weigh over 300 pounds ...

Re: New Start New Runner

How'd it go Jimmy?! I bet it was fine, you smiled all the way through and are itching for run 2. Am I right?! :) Samantha, i'm so glad you put a smiley face. :D The run was awful but for the right reasons. It was blowing a hooley and the rain was very cold, isn't this meant to be summer  The ...

Re: New Start New Runner

Samantha, thank you for the encouragement. I did week 2 run 2 today but a bit differently. Today I used the treadmill at my gym and hated the run, the other runs I have done outside along a canal towpath and feel being out in the open air far more enjoyable than breathing in the warm air conditioned...
