Just completed W4R3 week 5 is intimidating!

I completed W4 all days at a slower pace than Imwas running. It is a bit disappointing but I am still running 3 minutes & then 5 minutes non stop, I couldn't do that 4 weeks ago! I am a bit apprehensive about W5, especially R3 but if I have to I will drop my pace down to just a bit above a walk ...

Week 4 Run 2 done, whew!

Just finished W4R2 and while I feel great, I really had to slow it down today. My first 3 min run was ok at my normal pace ut I really had to drop it back for the first 5 min run. Then I had to keep that same slow pace for the next 3&5 min run.

Week 4 Run 1 done

I just completed W4R1 and I feel great! I did the first run like I have for most of my other 1stbruns of a week, I slowed down the pace. I thengradually increase to get back to my regular pace by the end of the week. So far it has worked. No pain, no injuries. What a difference running 5 minutes is!...

Re: Week 3 run 1

W3r3 done! I tried my idea of running a faster pace for the 1.5 min run and regular pace for the 3 min run. Worked ok for first one, but I dropped to the regular pace for both on 2nd. Just a bit sluggish today! But I still finished and ran the entire time! I am happy! Enjoy your run!

Re: Week 3 run 1

W3r2 went well. I did the first 1.5 run at little faster pace than normal, felt reall good and strong. First 3.5 at regular pace. Than the last 1.5 & 3.5 at regular pace. Let some calf cramp starting, slowed down a bit and it worked itself out. Stretching now. Some walking tomorrow then tackle t...

Week 3 run 1

Just completed W3R1 and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I kept my normal pace for the 1.5 minute runs and slowed down on the 3 minute runs. Turned out well. On my next run I will try and keep the same pace on both run segments. We'll see. I hope you all have a great run!

Just finished week 2, random thought...

I just finished W2 at a pace that would have me running 2.5 miles in 30 minutes and I am thrilled! I realize that if my first 5k takes me 45minutes I am still up and running. I don't care. I am 6'5 and weigh 240lbs. I will never be a world class runner but I can be a runner! Someone called me a Clyd...
