Re: New and desperately unfit hello and diary :)
Hey all :) Well yesterday I did W4R2. I would say that the run itself was a tiny bit easier than the last but only a little. I started to feel a little of what I think must be shin splints maybe? It was only mild though. Then the mild stitch started and got worse until during the last 5 min run I wa...

Re: Rest days?
Thanks for the reply :) Yes I see your point. I'm fighting an awful cold (I never get colds usually) so I won't be overdoing it and also my joints have had so little real pressure before I better take it easy. I did run two on a row as I coped but I think ill save those times for when I have to. Tha...

Re: Hello and thank you :)
Right! Here's a telling off from a fellow mummy. You can't do a DVD thing like the 30day shred (my 15 year old daughter has it and says its an absolute killer) as well as a programme like this and care for a baby and a body which is still recovering from a pregnancy and birth (not to mention breast ...

Re: Feel like poo :(
Brilliant! Yay for you hun. You must be pleased. It's funny how you can have a really rough run and then the next run may be longer but it's still ok. I guess lots of things influence it. Not just our real abilities.
Keep going you're doing so well.

Re: New and desperately unfit hello and diary :)
Right well I needed to get back to running on my child free days so i did W4R1 just now. I am so so chuffed with myself. I dreaded doing it because 3 min runs really felt like a long time yesterday and here I was about to do 2 of those plus 2 5 min ones. I just told my self that if I didn't do it I'...

Rest days?
Hey all :) I'm just wondering. Has everyone stuck rigidly to having one rest day minimum between each run? If I ran two days in a row (not always, just occasionally) would it hurt? Has anyone done that and been ok? Were you knackered? At the moment I've found myself running on the 'wrong' day for me...

Re: New and desperately unfit hello and diary :)
Thanks Toadie :) I've just done W3R3 about 20 mins ago. It felt a bit tough to be honest. I have a terrible cold (sinusitis too) and I pulled my back badly on Saturday collecting leaves in the garden. I hadn't run since Friday. The second 3 min run was easier than the first and I added an extra minu...

Re: Hello and thank you :)
Yes!! I love how you took your hiccup (who doesn't have those!) in your stride, modified the plan sensibly as still smashed it I think that's Brilliant.
You're nearly there!

Re: New and desperately unfit hello and diary :)
I think you're doing amazingly well. I couldn't do the early mornings at all. Stress at work, especially caused by a savage of a boss is really draining. I'm not surprised you've found it hard. This is for you though so don't let the b******s get you down :) Here's to progress this week. I've pulled...

Re: Feel like poo :(
I'm not as far along as you (W3R2) but I've had good and less good runs. You had already smashed w4 so you know it's not that. I'm sure it was just one of those days where things didnt stack up together. I've read that on here a lot and I'm prepared for it to happen to me too (plenty probably). You'...
