Re: W6R3 (I DID IT!!!!) :-)
Well done! Ive just repeated my week 8 because I didn't make all my runs first time. Turns out I was just going a bit fast. Keep slow enough and you should make all 3. Good luck.

Re: Could you run a marathon without training?
I got to week 8 of this program and then did a marathon. My verdict is that it's possible but you need your head examined if you do it that way! 6 hours after I started I reached the finish feeling more mentally, emotionally and physically drained than I ever have in my entire life (also a little eu...

Re: What do people use to carry their phones?
Hi fbrun,
They're Addidas, but beyond that I havent a clue. Plus side is the pockets. Negative side is that the lining is that stuff you get in swimming trunks... bit harsh. Still, that's what vaseline is for right?

Re: Still,,,,attached to couch,,, Need Encourage
If your goal is to lose weight then you may find yourself a little disheartened for the first while on doing this. What this app does is boost your fitness and stamina. BUT...... The thing is, that as you get fitter you start to become more motivated too. It even becomes fun which is hard to believe...

Re: Just earned my yellow laces!
Lmao. Seeing those yellow laces on the shelf every day was certainly motivating for me though. I hope you make your fortune on them on eBay Gareth. I wonder what colour you get for 10 k? Thanks all for the support! I'll be looking out for other people wearing yellow laces everywhere I go now and won...

Re: What do people use to carry their phones?
I use the pocket in my running shorts. I have a new pair of shorts that I want to wear, but no pocket. I've heard that the arm bands can get uncomfortable over long distances, so I'll be going for a belt when I get around to it and am doing distances that mean its a good idea to bring water with me ...

Just earned my yellow laces!
I'm so happy. When I got my running shoes they came with two sets of laces. One of them was bright yellow. I felt so self conscious starting out that I wouldn't put the yellow laces near my shoes. I made a deal with myself. . . If I run 5k in 30 mins or less I get to wear the yellow laces because I'...

Back running but off programme
Hi, I just did a 15 min run today. My first run in a week. I should be starting week 9 but it's going to have to wait. I did the Dublin City Marathon last Monday and it took it's toll! While I managed to finish in 6 hours, I don't recommend doing it without more than 8 weeks training! It got really ...

Re: Week 6 Run 3 question - pace?
I agree with YikesMn, The most important thing at this stage is building the stamina. Then the pace will come with practice. As far as I can see lots of people have reached the end of this programme without making the full 5k in 30 mins. Lots of people have done it in 28 mins too though. Week 6 is p...
