Me too!
Rest well this weekend 'cos that dreaded w5r3 is looming on the horizon, still by this time next week, I think we'll have earned the right to call ourselves runners!

Re: Week 3, Worried about Week 4

Having just completed week 4 this morning, I can say, don't worry, if anything I think it was a little easier than last week, you can get up a rhythm and let your mind wander when the intervals are a little longer, also, for me, I think my body is getting used to running, the aching and the gasping ...

Re: Week 4 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

I did run2 today, was going to postpone as I was feeling a bit rubbish and didn't have much time to spare, but I forced myself out and I'm glad I did, it was slightly easier than run 1 and I felt good for having done it. As for when I run, I usually run in the middle of the day as I work 7am-8pm but...

Re: Running shoes

Im 41 and just starting back after a 10year break. My route was to buy the cheapest comfortable nikes I could find. I figure that when I complete this I'll be a runner and can justify paying more for proper fitted shoes.

Yea I did wk4 run1 today too. I found the second half easier than the first. We're obviously on the same schedule, it'll be good to compare experiences.

Re: Week 4 R1 Complete - Yippee!

I just did week4 run 1 today. Got a twinge in my calf after first minute, almost stopped but ignored it. It soon eased off, oddly I found the second half easier than the first. Music really is the key for me too, when it gets tough, I just think, if I can make it to the end of the song, I'll be ok.

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Hello, I'm Simon, 41 from south wales, UK. I used to run a couple of miles 2 or 3 times a week, but that stopped about 10years ago, I haven't set foot in a gym for about 8 years. With 2 small children (4 and nearly 1) and working 13 hours a day, 6 1/2 days a week in my convenience store, surrounded ...
