Re: Anyone run with their dogs???
Dawn and I were discussing in this thread that the first few running intervals in a run often seem to be the hardest. My suggestion is to do a few short and very light jogs in your warm up, and perhaps make the warm up a little longer. That seemed to work for me, anyway

Re: Always doubtful about moving on!!!
Fantastic, I'm really glad the advice helped!
And I'm glad you feel good about your three minute run. It is a big achievement when you've not done anything like that before. It left me feeling very pleased with myself too

Re: Sticky: Introductions!
Hi Deb, The brilliant bit is that you've started and you've done the first week. Well done! Something that can really help with motivation and commitment is to run with someone else. Perhaps you can talk a friend in to getting in to shape with you, or maybe one of your running friends would come alo...

Re: Always doubtful about moving on!!!
I've not got an explanation for it, but I found the same thing. I've talked to other runners who say that it's the first few miles that are hard, and after that they think they could go for ever; I think it happens at other levels too! Something I started to do was break in to a little bit of a job ...

Re: Extremely impressive program!
Thanks very much for the feedback, Virinder. I'm very happy to hear that you like the program and that it's helping you. It is so easy to get out of shape when life takes over. The same thing happened to me. It's reassuring to hear that the exercise program makes sense from a medical point of view! ...

Re: Running With a Buddy
I think I read something about Run Keeper in future supporting heart rate monitors, so that could be worth doing a bit of research on – might save you a lot of cash! This site will let you measure a route on google maps (so you could also use it to plan a route): http://www.gmap-pedometer.com Dave a...

Re: What do you listen to when you are running then?? ;)
It might amaze you to hear that when I first developed Get Running, I wasn't planning on supporting music playback with the audio cues! I'm pretty glad I added that in! I think Matt (our web man, who set up these forums) helped to persuade me. I sometimes like to run without music, but when I run wi...

Great stuff with loosing the pounds, Tim! I notice from Twitter you're planning to cut another 30!
Do you find that getting less calories is draining the energy that you need to get out and run, or do other exercise?
