Re: Injuries

Hi Jen, I'm really sorry to hear that :-( I injured myself at about the same point in c25k – I was climbing over a fence and landed badly! You'd think I'd know better! I have absolutely no medical experience, so I can't give any medical guidance. What I would suggest is to talk to your doctor about ...

Re: Motivation dwindling...

Fantastic! :-) If you ever do feel that a run is too much, remember not to let yourself be demotivated by it. A friend of mine, who's been running a lot longer than me, says she still gets some days when she doesn't want to do it. Her approach is to go out and run anyway, and then once she's given i...

Re: Motivation dwindling...

You know what, I think I had a similar kind of thing at the same place. After the last run of week five (the 20 minutes of continuous running), I was completely elated that I'd managed to finish it, and I was sure that I'd be able to run for as long as I wanted to if I kept with the program. When I ...

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Thanks very much for your introductions. It's wonderful to get all your enthusiasm and energy coming over in your writing! If you're putting that in to your running too, then you're definitely going to achieve what you want to achieve with running, exercise and health, and feeling good! Happy runnin...

Running With a Buddy

I've just got back from running with a friend. It was fantastic, and a great way to end the weekend and get ready for work. He hadn't run for nearly a year, so we just went for a 20 minute jog, and took a five minute walk in the middle. It was great though, and really enjoyable to run with someone. ...

Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

:-) Hi Dawn – I didn't realise that you'd already started running with your dogs! That's brilliant, I hope your post wil inspire someone else to try it too!

We've not got dogs (two boys are plenty of trouble at the moment), but I can imagine it would be good fun, and great exercise for all of you.

Re: Great Work!

:-) Thanks very much Tim, it's very rewarding to know that you enjoy Get Running and find it helpful! I'll have to ask Clare to come on and see that her vocal talent is appreciated :D She's a teacher, so I think she's used to motivating people, although usually children. Thanks again, and keep up yo...

Re: What should we do next?!

Thanks Dui, it's great to hear you like Get Running for the reasons that we spent our time on! I also did a lot of my runs without music, so that's something I knew had to work. I guess I should be frank and say that there's unlikely to be a follow on to Get Running in four weeks. Sorry about that. ...
