Re: I ran for 3 minutes! Yay!!!

Wow, Steph! In no time, you'll be running 30 minutes without thinking about it! Great job!

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

Okay, tomorrow's the big run! I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I know that the 8-minute runs weren't that bad yesterday, but 20 just seems a lot bigger than 8! Haha I really hope I can start before I realize I'm awake. :D

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

Nice runnin'! I can't wait until I get up there with you and the other "Big Dogs," Jysmystry. Today's runs were fantastic!! I was really nervous about today's 2 8-minute runs, but they were a blast! I think the thing I like most about running first thing in the morning is that my mind is s...

Re: Help! 10k race!!!!!

First off, you've posted about this 6 months in advance, so if you start training right away, it won't be a problem, and you will most likely enjoy it! Second, I'll tell you what my plan is: I started the Get Running app the day after Christmas, and, Lord willing, will finish it February 24th. At th...

Re: Week one!

Sounds like you've got some great motivation, Karen! It's awesome that you've decided to start; that's the hardest part! You'll be extremely surprised that, in just a couple weeks, you'll actually be LOOKING FORWARD to your next run! I also live in the country, and this morning was my first pre-sunl...

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

That's great! I've really enjoyed watching everyone here progress, but I didn't think I would actually be able to join in this conversation. Now, I guess it's time for me to jump in! This morning I ran w5r1 (I can't believe I've made it this far!), and it all went smoothly! I'm really excited, yet c...

Re: What are your running habits?

Sadly, this week I'm changing my routine. With the start of my new semester, I have to be at school two hours earlier than I've had to last semester, which means an early rise, starting tomorrow! I'm a morning person, so I hope all this won't bother me too bad, but starting this week, I'll be gettin...

Re: Another request for the next app

I second everything ausgirl just said! I went running in the FREEZING COLD this morning, and before this year, I wouldn't even run in the summer time! I'm addicted! I need something else to push me along after Get Running! We all know that B210K may work, but it's nothing without a loving voice to p...

Re: Week 4 Run 1

Wow, Jysmystry, I can't wait til you run the half marathon! Also, thanks for all the encouragement! I ran week 4 run 2 today, and had quite the tough time with it. I hope Friday's run goes a lot better! But if not, I'll at least look forward to week 5 and the (gasp) 20 minute run! Thanks!
