Thanks, Colin. I hope this will encourage those doubters (which definitely included me!) that think that this is a bridge too far to step up from 8 to 20 mins.

The programme is kocher.

Re: Week 4 and still running

I'm like you but 51 years old. Running was a no-no. I like biking and swimming but don't do it enough.

Now just finished w5r3 and am pleased as punch at finally running for so long as 20 mins, super slowly albeit!

Keep up the good work.

Week 5 Run 3 20 mins YES! You can do it.

Hey Guys, I can't believe it. This morning I ran for 20 mins. Super slowly, yes, but this programme really works!!! I was pretty worried about this step as I struggled with the 1st 8 mins in Run 2 and then managed to finish the 2nd 8 mins. Anyway, the first 5 mins was easy and I felt so good that I ...

Re: Nervous about W5r3

Wow, that's awesome, everyone! I just did Week5 Run2 and paused at 5.5 mins during the first 8-min run. I had studied up in Chi running and set off far too fast. Managed to complete that eventually but did do the 2nd 8-min run at my own pace at a push, of course! Yep, still worried about the massive...

Re: 45 Year Old - First Run

51 year old and going for Week 5 Run 2 in the morning. A little excited as it's a step up to 8 mins, complete new territory!

Keep up the good work. Just read about Chi running so will see if that helps.

Cheers.

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Hi ALL. I am Mark from Bedford. I am 51 years old and about 2 stone overweight. I never EVER liked running bar the sprint distances when I was much younger. I've just completed Week 4 Run 2 this morning in the rain!! It was very hard as I've found it is quite a jump from Week 3 to Week 4. I hit &quo...
