Re: Unbelievably disappointed. :((((

I also get shin splints but the severity has greatly been reduced by stretching. Someone on the forum recommended stretch guru and I've been using it after every run and its great. I've also gone back to seeing my massage therapist. That might be something to consider if it's accessible to you. Good...

Re: Week 7

BenJohn thanks once again for this wonderful program and thanks for the advice. I ran W7R1 today and it was okay. I think you are right about us putting too much pressure on ourselves especially after the big run at the end of W5. After R2 this week I'll decided whether to rerun W6 or not. Today the...

Week 7

Anyone else starting week 7 next week? I think I'm gonna need some motivation because week 6 was definitely not my finest. So let us know if you're starting week 7 and let's all encourage each other. Let's keep running.

Re: Tough Run After 20 Minute Run?

So W6R3 was better than my last run energy wise but everything else was well..not so great. I'll sound like a sissy here but noting seemed to work right on my run. It was pouring rain which never use to bother me before but did this time. My earphones kept falling out...major distraction! and to top...

Re: Tough Run After 20 Minute Run?

Had the same experience today. Did my W6R2 and it was one of my worst runs. I think that when you do a longer run your body continues warming up. Then you get into that rythym when it feels like you can run forever. I hope my 25 min run on Friday is better.

I did it! So happy I hung in there. My shins hurt for the first time since the first week though. This forum has been a great source of learning and encouragement. Thanks guys.

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

W5R3 tomorrow! R2 was good so I'm sure I'll be fine. Can't believe that I'll actually be able to run 30mins straight at the end of this programe. Goodluck to everyone else that's at this stage of the game.

Just finished W4R3 and had the best run ever! Looking forwards to week 5. Can't believe the improvements I've made.

Re: Week 4 Run 1

I ran W4R2 yesterday and found it challenging. The previous night was valentines so had some wine and went to bed a lil later than usual. So I'm hoping W4R3 will be a better run.
