week 5 run 3 done !!!

Hi people,

first topic on this forum but long time user of get running.

I've just completed week 5 run 3 yesterday and wanted to spread the word and also share my experience.

First the app is great I'm going out 3 time a week now but it took me quite a long time to follow a routine.

I start using the app in february this year, and come through a few pain shins, knees, I even had to stop the program for a while as I felt some chest pain,and I have to see a specialist almost 2 month waiting time with no running before an apointment with the cardiologist, stress test,echo, but thanks god, it ended up that it was only the muscle not heart related.

So the first few month was quite a disaster for me until the specialist gave me the green light. I then start again the program from the scratch and reach the 6th week now, still a lot to do but i fell more confident.

Anyway it took me almost 5 month to reach the 5th week, I might be the slowest user of this program but i don't care, as some people like me just need more time , the point is eventhough I haven't completed the program yet, everyboddy is different, just listen to your booddy, don't hesitate to see a specialist if some pain are getting wrost or scare you like it did for me, and keep running.

It might even take me another 5 month to complete this program but ifeel more and more confident now i start to lose some weight i even think about quiting smocking and most importantly i enjoy running.
