Hi everyone,
I have just finished reading "born to run" which totally inspired me to start running again and starting the C25K programme. I gave up running about 4 years ago when my ankles gave up when training for a 10k. I have all the specialist trainers - and aside from MBTs which make walking miles possible none of them helped - hence stopping running.
Anyway, this book has some really interesting thoughts on how fantastic a design our feet are and how we are really designed to run in bare feet. It also states that despite all the progress in shoe design running related injuries haven't declined.
So, I am considering getting a pair of the barefoot shoes that are on the market. Has anyone tried them? What are you opinions on them?
thank you!
J
"barefoot" running
Re: "barefoot" running
Just about to go and clear out the sandpit with my son, but…
I know that Jessica is running in Vibram Five Fingers, and I think she's enjoying them a lot. Check out her post in the "Kit" discussion, and then you could send her a message.
I think it sounds like a great idea, anyway
Happy running, I hope it works out, and I've love to hear how it goes!
