Starting week 5 run 1. Eight minutes!! Nervous and excited. When I first started I was running in old tennis shoes and my ankles and knees took a beating. Ankles swelled and had knee pain. Got some running shoes and solved half the problem. My ankles are fine now but I'm still experiencing knee pain. I stretch, warm up, cool down and stretch like I should. I rest in between running days. Not sure how to judge this. Should I run through the pain (not unbearable, just a nagging pain in both knees on the inside. I feel when I go up my stairs or when I squat) or should I rest or get it checked out. My run has lots of inclines and I push 2 year old twins! What can I do to releive my discomfort besides tylenol?
Thanks
Knees!
Re: Knees!
I'd be interested to see the response to this too. I've got W4R2 tomorrow and I've had a little bit of discomfort in my knees too- I'm not sure if it's just my body using muscles that I havent used before or if it is something more serious. It doesn't hurt me so much that I notice it too bad aside from if I kneel or squat down, or bend over.
It's usually minimised before my next run too.

Hiya – awesome doing your running pushing the twins. Amazing
Do you have access to a running shop near you that can advice on the fit of your shoes? They might be able to look at how you run in them and tell you if your gate looks like it would cause problems.
All the best,
Benjohn
