Yup, Get Running should work fine with audiobooks and podcasts, or anything else that's playing from the iPod app.
By default, Get Running fades down your iPod audio when giving voice prompts, but leaves it playing in the background. This works well for music, but of course might mean you miss bits of books or podcasts.
However, there's a solution for this: go into Get Running's settings page and choose "Pause Music Playback" instead of "Lower Music Playback". If you do that, Get Running will pause your audiobook or podcast when it plays its voice prompts, so you won't miss a word of what you're listening to!
