Help after week one!

Post by Smirnoff »

Hi I have just finished week 1 and about to start week 2
but feel nowhere near ready! I'm fine jogging the first 30
seconds and then struggle the last 30 seconds! Do I do week
1 until I'm ready to move to week 2 ? I'm very unfit and
overweight! Or do I struggle on and try week 2?
All advice gratefully received!!!

I'm new to this program, but having done other workout programs in the past, I would say if you are still struggling with week 1, then I would do it again. There is no hurt in doing another week of it, and then moving on to week 2. You just have to really push yourself, and don't ever give up!

Hi, and well done getting started and pushing yourself.

Yes, I would go with KickBoxerChick's advice – listen to your body and take some more time with week one. If you press on, you're likely to hit a hurdle that you can't jump, and if you're anything like me, that will really knock your confidence.

It 's probably too late to tell you this, but if you want to edit the runs of week one, that's great too. Just do half of the runs and then walk the rest, if you like – it's all good exercise and it will gradually build you up until you _are_ running for thirty minutes, and then for more.

Happy running,
Benjohn
