I usually go out early morning but went out at 12 noon it's hot here in the uk ATM so that didn't help ,Its 24c but felt like 34c!
Anyway I made it to 13 minutes before having to stop and runkeeper says I did 1.6 miles @ 6.66mph average, I have not run this far since I was in the navy 9 years ago so that's a plus.
I'm determined to do this and I was tempted to straight back out but I know that's foolish, my breathing was ok it was my legs and the heat that killed me off.
I'm planning early morning next time so it's cooler, and im going to take a energy type drink beforehand see if that helps.
I'm not disheartened too much because when i look back At how easy I got tired in the early weeks I can see big improvements.

Heat in a big run is horrible! Well done keeping focussed on the good stuff – keep your sights on that, because you have made great progress and you'll keep on making progress if you keep on going Will you do a few easy runs before taking it on again (the earlier week five runs, say), or go right back at it?
I'm going straight back at it, I'm having a rest day then I'm determined that I'm going to do it.
I know I can do 13 minutes and I'm a little bit annoyed I couldn't do the remaining 7, I'm going to hopefully use the anger to my advantage next attempt with the "I'll show you mentality" haha.
I think the main thing is that I'm doing more than I would have been had I not purchased the app, and I feel great. If it wasn't a challenge then I'd probably lose interest anyway.
I'll report back after I have completed the run letting you all know how it went.
I have just returned from my run, pleased to say I completed it and even kept going for another 5 minutes as I felt great.
I guess it was the heat/timeofday/food that hampered my first attempt I went at midnight as I work nights, it was cool and a bit damp out, I really enjoyed it I ran 25 minutes and managed 2.85 Miles (runkeeperpro).
I'd like to say to anyone who has tried and failed just have another go sometimes you will have a bad run I have had 2 since starting I failed a early run too.
I'm really happy, it's the first time wearing my new running shoes too which may have helped haha.
