Life getting in the way LOL

Post by DarrinJ »

Well I started this program June 27th and in theory I should be almost done. Unfortunately for the last 4 weeks I haven't been able to run. The weather at first was really hot and even running at night was dangerous. Then I lost a close friend suddenly which then prompted a mini vacation. Now I'm ready to get back into the game but I'm wondering where I should start. I'm suppose to start on week 4 but I think I might repeat week 3 first? Or should I go back farther. The next big problem I'm having is that work over the next couple months is going to be busy so hopefully I can keep this up.

It's hard trying to get in shape with all this and 3 little ones keeping me occupied LOL. I'm not complaining I'm just saying :)

Thanks

Darrin

Yes, it is hard fitting it all in, isn't it?!

One of our two boys is away on a holiday with a friend this week, and I'm finding I've got so much more time! I'm going out running in the morning. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up when he's back because I really like it as a get me up.

Well done getting back on your feet. I'd give week three a try, but if it's too much, don't worry at all and do some week two runs instead :-)

All the best, and happy running,
Benjohn

Hi Darrin. Good luck. I know what you mean about life getting in the way. There never seem to be enough hours in the day.... I've been able to find the time over the last five weeks because it's been school Hols - so have not had the usual frenetic round of dashing around in the mornings getting self/kids/spouse sorted for school/work as much. Also the light mornings have meant that it's been ok getting out between 6 and 6-30 am. Don't know how I'll feel about that when the mornings are dark and cold. Hopefully my enjoyment that this app has tapped into will see me through! Good luck. Keep posting here. Mike
