Can not believe it's week 8 already! Week 7 was a challenge but I made it. Thanks to everyone for the the tips and encouragement. This forum has been a real blessing and a great source of information especially for those of us that have never been runners. Let's keep it up and keep running.
Good job!!!!! I can't wait to get that far! W2R2 for me today, being a larger guy and working on quitting smoking it's been a challenge for me but I'm pushing!
Started - Tuesday March 6th. Took 1 rest day!
Week 2 - started March 10th. Took no rest days!
Week 3 - started March 14th
FIRST MILE RAN WITHOUT STOPPING - March 20th
Week 4 - started March 21st
Week 5 - started March 26th
Did my first W8R1 run today and I must say it was my best run since starting Get running! I found a comfortable pace and stuck with it for the entire 28 mins. My breathing has improved and for the first time I felt no shin pain.
“Suddenly, I was part of something. I was part of the running community. The more open I was about my running, the more open others were about theirs. I found out that runners love to talk about running.”
