W5R3 complete - dont want to slow it back down

Post by RunDulwich »

I completed w5r3 yesterday and feel great. However, looking ahead to week 6, the programme seems to slow things back down again. I really don’t like the idea of dropping back to running and walking now (hope that doesn’t sound arrogant it’s just that w6 runs 1 & 2 seem to take you into reverse and I want to keep pushing myself). Tempted to just do two more 20 minute runs instead, and then progress on to the w6r2 (25 min) run. Has anyone else done this? Is it a big mistake do you think?

A lot of people really struggle with week six. It seems easier because it's intervals, but you're still pushing yourself!

Fair enough. Think that in my post run euphoria I may be getting ahead of myself. :D

well done, i have just completed week 5 run 2, will be doing run 3 in a couple of days time.
I was a little worried about this, but completed both runs and felt that I could have carried on and done more. Looking forward to giving it a crack now.
