Hi all,

I'm Corey and I just finished my first run of the C25K and it was wonderful. Currently living in Topeka, KS with my wife and daughter. Just finishing up another year of school and what better time to start running than finals week. Also I am intent on completing the C25K in my Vibram Five Fingers, wife says I can get another pair when I finish :D! Looking forward to the next run and hoping the weather stays as beautiful as it was today!

Hi, I'm Dani, I've just completed my first session and I'm pretty excited. I'm possibly the most unfit person alive (I even had to take a little break half way through!) but hopefully get running is as good as everyone says it is. Looking forward to day two!

Hi Everyone...

I am from Texas and I will start week4 day1 tomorrow! It has been a challenge, but I am progressing thanks to this app! I strongly dislike running and it is hard for me to push myself at times. However, I have already completed 3 full weeks so far! A friend referred this app and c25k program to me. He said it worked for his wife. Now, they both run marathons frequently. I hope that it will work for me as well!

Hi runners or future runners,
My name is Linda, I'm from Florida. I'm 43, 5 foot 2. I was 144 lbs when I started this program, if my scale is right im about 140 now, so I have lost 4 lbs. I'm out of shape, high cholesterol ( total 296) Was on statins (simvastatin) it made me feel horrible, and my arms and legs felt week, and all over too, it got hard for me to lift a jug of milk, and it affected my memory, so I stopped taking it. My doctor's not to happy about that though. Both my parents have passed on due to heart disease. I want to some day enjoy and have grand children. I have decided I am the only one who can make healthy choices for myself. I had gestational diabetes type 2, 20 years ago while pregnant with my children and was told I should watch my weight or I could get diabetes. Used to smoke, quit in 2001. Gained 30 lbs after quitting. I have gotten up to 150 at one point. Have never run in my life. I have just finished week 3. I'm hoping to loose some weight and I hope to develop a love for running. I am trying to post my runs each time, as I hope my experiences will help someone else. If you are reading this and are nervous or doubting yourself, I can just say I am glad i have did this. I was doing nothing, now I'm out moving. :D very grateful to the maker of this app, thank you so much!

Hello, I'm Simon, 41 from south wales, UK. I used to run a couple of miles 2 or 3 times a week, but that stopped about 10years ago, I haven't set foot in a gym for about 8 years. With 2 small children (4 and nearly 1) and working 13 hours a day, 6 1/2 days a week in my convenience store, surrounded by sweets, chocolates, fizzy drinks, pies, pasties and crisps, I told myself I didn't have time to exercise, so my fitness fell away and my waistline grew. I bought a pair of trainers, determined to change, but they sat in the box for ages. Then I discovered this app, it looked such a gentle start, and building nice and gently, so I thought I'd give it a go. Anyway, week4 begins tomorrow and although it's been challenging at times, and there have been times when I've had to force myself out, I'm loving it, and loving the sense of achievement and the refreshed, energized feeling I get for the rest of the day.
If I've got one tip to pass on, treat your runs as you would other appointments that way your less likely to make excuses and let it slide.

Hi Everyone!
I'm Laura, and I currently live in Denver, CO! I am actually just started week 4 R 1 today, but have been lurking for a while getting support from others people post. I am trying to get in shape, lose about 20 pounds, and basically just get healthier and I really want to be able to fun a 5k. After the 5k is done i will set some goals from there, but for now I just really really want to be able to accomplish an actual race!

Hi everyone!

Thought I would introduce myself, having spent some time lurking on the forum!

I'm Sarah, from the UK. I'm 26 and have never really done any 'proper' exercise ever before. Have been doing the C25K for a while now (a few restarts and repeating runs along the way!). Completed Week 5 Run 2 last week, and was meant to do the 20 mins today but chickened out (ended up doing 10 + 6...went completely off piste!)

Primarily just looking to get my fitness up but the weight loss I have experienced so far is a definite perk. Would really just like to be able to run some distance without looking like a tomato by the end of it - but fear that might be a way off! Guess the fact that I'm still smoking (tsk, I know) probably isn't helping me.

Anyway, yes, hello!

Sarah

Hi I'm Amy. I have just begun W1 and completed the first run at lunch. It is much easier to run when you have someone in your ear motivating you. I have just had a look at all the weeks runs and I am very hopeful I can complete it. Fingers crossed A

Hi there
My name is Barbie, I live in London, started running W1D1 yesterday and am very pleased with myself. I was inspired by some runners I saw along the Southbank last week and just thought what an amazing place to run in the evenings. So my plan is to follow the programme, get fit and loose baby some weight as my 'baby' is now 13yrs old! I'm a preschool teacher and although I'm very busy in my job I'm not very active so running is perfect for me.
