Good Morning!
I am Nicki!
I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia!
I am in week three of Get Running and loving it.... Yesterday, it was a struggle to get to the gym, to run! But I'm so glad I did! Some days it's like that huh?

My goal is to run in a fun run at the end of August. So I'm keeping that as my focus.

I am a Mum of four, and this is the first real fitness goal I have ever set. I want to be a good role model to my kids of healthy choices. But, what drives me more is feeling strong & gaining a sense of accomplishment.

So, that's me......

Hi all

Having spent this new year in a cadiac hospital I have been galvanised to get off my bum and get on my feet. I am 62, overweight and need the exercise. Semi retired, I want to extend my life as much as I can so here we are. Wish GR was available on the android...
Start week 1 tonight...... :o

Hello! I'm new here :) I currently just finished week 5 run 1 and I'm still loving it! The guy as my avatar picture is Shay Carl. He is my inspiration and the main reason I started running. I hope to run many 5ks in the future and eventually run a marathon!

Hi there
My name is Sheila and on Wednesday I completed week 2 run 1.
I'm 60 and really just want to keep as fit and healthy as possible.
I took part in last years London Marathon and unfortunately went down with flu the week before so it turned out to be more walking than running, but I finished. As the saying goes 'use it or lose it' and I've lost it, hence wanting to get fit again. Definitely not aiming for a marathon though!!

Hi, my name is Simon, I'm 38 and haven't really done much exercise since I stopped playing football about 7 years ago. I'm in Crawley west Sussex and I'm looking forward to hitting week 9.

Hi

I'm Jonny, 39, devoted husband and father of two, which has, until recently, left little time for exercise. Used to run, hike, swim, cycle and play football regularly, but in the last ten years that has gradually dwindled away to virtually no physical exercise at all.

As such, I am now overweight, unfit and desperate to halt the decline and get fit again. I ran week 1 run 1 on Sunday, so today is my rest day. I was very happy with my first run, although I am feeling the aches and pains today. Looking forward to run 2 tomorrow.

All the best,

Jonny

Hi every1

I'm chrissy, 27 and not really done anything sporty since been a teen, so this year am trying to get fit so in January quit smoking and tomorrow will run w3r1 and enjoying it although im not looking forward to the 3 min run tho. Have occasionally had to delay runs due to working shifts but on the whole it fits in well with my lifestyle! And who knows I might run maraton before I'm 30 ;)

Despite this being my first post I have enjoyed reading other people's experiences so I know what to expect.

Hi, I'm Vicki, I quit smoking in February (after being on 20 a day for over 20 years!) and I hit the big 4-0 next year, so I thought it was about time I got myself fit.

Have joined gyms before but always felt really self-concious, and to be honest I prefer being outdoors - at least with running I can take my four legged furry friend with me!

So, completed W1R1 yesterday and it went really well - although I am a little achy today. I am really looking forward to running tomorrow, having decided Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday are my running days. Just wondered how people cope with holidays etc while on the programme - if you just stop for a week doesn't it set you back?
