Week 2 Run 2 (Mon-Wed-Fri)

Ok, I did my first run of week 2 this morning, week one was hard i thought, i actually did it twice. So over the weekend I bought new shoes (Asics gel-cumulus 13 ) recommended by the guy at the shoe store, plus they were on sale for 69.00 at Sports authority. He also recommended thorlo running socks which when i first tried on at the store felt amazing like i was walking on a cloud. So this morning i put socks and shoes on to go run and they feel way more tight than i remember, i hope they loosen up some. I made it thorough the runs but most of my walks i had to stretch quite a bit, cause my shins hurt. I really hope i can do this for my health, my cholesterol is sky high and the statins made me weak in the arms and legs so i stopped them. I really want to make a life change and I've found i love this feeling of accomplishment already, even though im still taking baby steps. ;) I'm thinking i may do each week twice.

:-) Hi Linda! Well done getting started! Just a quick post to say that you should definitely follow your instinct if it tells you to do each week twice.

Since my runs dont seem so easy i think i will do them twice. Im in no hurry. :D

The run felt kinda rough this morning, why does one and a half min seem so hard to me? But i completed it. :P

I did my first week two run this morning and noticed a big difference too. I fought through it and am going to focus a lot more in my eating and fluid intake before I do run 2 on Friday. Keep it up!

Thats really important im sure, come to think of it on the days i run i take water with me but i dont drink much before cause on some days about halfway throug the run i needed to go pee, but didnt. Lol . Wish there was a potty near where i run. Also my new shoes and socks are feeling great since ive broke them in real well.
