Tension headache since started running

Hi, wonder if anyone can advise. I have just completed week 3. In the last week I have suffered with really bad tension headaches to the point tonight that when I was running I had a throbbing pain in the back of my neck/base of my scull. I have not suffered like this until now. I have noticed and it could be a complete coincidence, that I have had this trouble since I started using a shock absorber running bra. Could this be the reason or am I not holding my posture correctly? How can I ease the pain afterwards? Any tips would be greatly received, I don't want to give up now I am about to start week 4!!

Try a different bra. If the one you have now is pressing on a nerve or pressing the muscles in your shoulders wrong, that could definitely account for the headaches.

I also have this problem when working out or running. I think a lot of it has to do with your breathing and the tension on your shoulders from your sports bra and/or breathing improperly, from your chest and not your diaphragm. Try to relax and concentrate on keeping your body relaxed. Hope it helps!

Thanks for advice. I am going to rest for a week and then try my old bra and be aware of my breathing. Thanks all.
