Just done my first run

Hello.
A quick introduction. My name's Chris and I live in sunny Devon, Southwest England. I started running a few months ago but over did it, running 3 miles everyday (well... it wasn't exactly running...), for 2 weeks and eventually came down with jogger's knee. I tried again after a couple weeks rest, but the knee went again. I've now rested it for 6 months and came across this lovely app by chance. Deciding I wanted to start running again, I downloaded it and just went on my first run in 6 months. It nearly killed me, but I did it
I live on Dartmoor, so unfortunately, all my runs are up steep rocky hills with bemused tourists laughing at me (unless I'm on the way back home, then it's all down steep rocky hills with bemused tourists laughing at me
)
I'm determined to see this through to the end as I plan on becoming an officer in the army when I graduate from uni, and am nowhere near the fitness standard. Hopefully you lovely people on this forum will keep me going, and I might start a blog as well, so people can give me a prod if/ when I start giving up
