I'm just about to finish W5. I was wondering if anyone else gets really really tired after their runs? I mean like about to collapse tired? I actually must take a nap after my run. Is that normal?

That doesn't sound normal... I normally get an enormous energyboost from running.. Do you always run at the same time of day? Maybe you're just not a morning/ evening person/ runner?

No I don't always run at the some time. The last time I joined a gym everytime I worked out the same thing happened. I'd get home strip off my wet clothes and fall into bed for a nap.

What/when are you eating beforehand? If you're tanks are empty you're going to be exhausted. If you're trying to diet alongside the programme maybe you're not eating enough or not eating the right things to give energy that maybe the problem. I always feel quite bright after a run but do need a sit down and a cuppa before starting work.
Good luck and keep at it. X

I usually eat about an hour before my runs. Oatmeal with walnuts and fresh blueberries are what I often eat. Today I had English muffin with peanutbutter. I've already has pizza.

I usually wait about three hours after eating to run. Digestion is actually pretty labor intensive, so I like to run on a fairly empty stomach.

I'm usually desperate to flop out on the bed after a run, but I find if I do that then I'll definitely end up falling asleep. Far better to stretch out and then have a glass of water or a cup of tea or something, and try to keep moving, I've found.
