Hi Lisa,

Good for you!!! I just started week 3 yesterday and have acutally gained 4lbs. :| BUT, that said, I am pretty sure it is muscle. I had someone comment on Monday that my face and neck looked thinner.

My advice would be to not obsess too much about the scale. I try to go more by how my clothes fit, and how I feel. One alternative to scale-watching may be to measure inches (waist, hips, arms). I bet you'll see a difference there.

And as far as eating, I've found myself making more thoughtful choices, especially on my running days. Because it's way harder to run with a burger in your tummy than a grilled chicken salad. ;)

Keep it up!!

I'm now in week 3 and it's getting easier, apart from my shins hurt but not putting me off!
So pleased and find it easy to stick to, find I'm looking forward to my next one :)

Do take care of your shins. I finished the program without injury, and now, a month after finishing, I have shin splints. I haven't run since last Saturday. Rest, stretching and ice are helping. Ice works very well.

R.I.C.E. treatment is recommended for Shin Splints. Have a click on the link, as there are some points to bear in mind. I hope it will clear soon!

Thanks,
Benjohn
