VIBRAMS!

Post by dagix »

Hi everyone! I just finished W4R3 and it was fantastic. Just a little over a month ago I started this process and thought there was going to be a point where I would have to stop. When I started W4 last Sunday, I thought that day had come. My shin splints resurfaced. I forced myself to complete the second run of week 4 on the treadmill because it rained that day. It was a little better. I walked everyday to keep up my cardiovascular fitness. I had heard many people talk about barefoot running and I said to myself, "no way". Well, WAY! I bought a pair of Vibram running shoes this morning and 6 hours later, I went for my run. I am not exaggerating when I say I felt no pain! Not once did I have to stop because my legs felt like they would break. I feel like I could run again but it is necessary to start slow and work up to the next run. My $120 Saucony running shoes may never get worn again. At least not for running. For anyone who is skeptical, trust me. I was the biggest skeptic around. No more. If there is another shoe out there that can match what I just did today, I would love to know about it. For everyone else, give it a try. You might be surprised. Hey do you think Vibram shoes should pay me for that "shout out?!" :D
