Hi all,
Thought I'd introduce myself, my name is Dan and I'm 37, didn't wanna be a fat dad at 40 so thought I'd get off my arse and get running, done the first one and loved it, can't wait till the next run. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and I'd like to wish you all a happy new year.
Regards
Dan

Hi Dan
I am in the same boat as me...first run done like an oversized bear, pounding the streets of Shrewsbury. I am 44 tomorrow and aware that I need to regain some of the fitness that I used to have, and hopefully invest in a more healthy future. I have named the very inspirational motivator Cindy, she cut in nicely over Badly Drawn Boy...thought I'd opt for some slower paced music at the start. Anyway keep it up...fit dads are us! Regards Anthony.

Hi chaps, I am jon 34 and have done week 1 run 1 yesterday i have run 2 tomorrow
I thought I would not be able to cope with it at all but it was really good. i have some good music to run to, taken from a body combat and body pump classes.
I am also using myfitnesspal for iphone which is a great calorie tracking, food and exorcise app. Give it a go, in conjunction with get running I think I can actually crack this loosing weight , getting fit and enjoying the process thing.
Look me up on myfitnesspal if you try it out....
Jon

hi mate
not sure about the nike thing, i think its a pedometer, i am thinking of getting a HRM watch type. I will introducing cycling into my regime on non running days soon and these things tell you calories burnt and when your in the cardio zone etc...or so the manufacturers claim.
I will be heading out for week 1 run 2 tomorrow...I am actually looking forward to it, although its blinking freezing here, i am in paris as its where i work...
let me know w-how week 2 pans out....you got 2 rest days now though right?
Jon
