Get Running Forums

Hi all,
Just a quick query - I have an iPod touch and can't get runkeeper and get running to both work together! As soon as I hit the home button to try and open another app, my session gets stopped! How do you run both? Many thanks,

Hi Dee,

I think probably you have a slightly older iPod and it doesn't support "multitasking", so it is not possible for an App to keep running after you press the home button.

You can check this by double pressing the home button. If the screen slides up and shows a row of icons at the bottom then you do have multitasking. Otherwise you don't.

If you don't have it, and you want to check your distances, then have a try of http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ Alternatively, Nike+ can multitask even on older iPods and iPhones, so you could get the sensor and use that.
